Joubertsdal Wedding, Swellendam
This was my first Jourbertsdal Wedding in Swellendam. Undoubtedly, this is an amazing wedding venue! Not only is one spoiled with views but also, the sunset is one for the books. Indeed one that I have not had at any wedding before. In addition to this, Michelle & Lyal are an amazingly funny couple. Clearly, an unforgettable wedding. Absolutely stunning!
Wedding preparations in nature
The day started off with the groom getting dressed in Swellendam, one of my favourite towns in the world. Absolutely love these old Cape Dutch houses with the original hard wood all through out! And from the bat, we had some great laughs. Like in seriously belly laughs. Following the groom prep, we braced the mountains and some dirt roads. Never did I expect to arrive in the most amazing location for the bride’s preparations. In fact, I felt personally touched by the scenery! Clearly I am finding it hard to put into words just how amazing this place was.
Joubertsdal wedding venue – Just WOW!
However, it didn’t stop there. As we drove up to the venue. WOW again – located right next to the mountain with views for days! Unlike the traditional wedding ceremony, the couple had such a comical wedding ceremony. Just as their personalities. Especially because they did their vows in Spanish! Obviously, for the couple photos we went up the mountain for the most unbelievable views and sunset. Not only were the guests treated to a feast of a harvest table. but also did the couple opt to not serve a traditional dinner. Alternatively, they rather offered only canape’s from around the world. How cool is that? Indeed, I tasted them all and each and every one was delicious. In fact, even the desert was well thought out as each guests could build their own!
In conclusion, I Looooved this wedding. Loved everything about it! Lyal and Michelle, thank you for selecting me as your wedding photographer for your Joubertsdal wedding. Definitely one for the books!
