This amazingly kind and beautiful couple decided to treat their selected guests to a Nambiti Hills Wedding for that African experience. And WOW, was up there in terms of awesomeness! All the guests were flown in from the UK and transported to the very remote region of the ever beautiful KwaZulu Natal midlands. The gorgeous scented roses were imported from Kenya and made for a spectacular arch and reception setting.
Ami & Sophie are just the most relaxed, kind hearted couple. Their photography brief was something in the line of: ‘do what you want, we love your work and trust you completely.’ Awesome, free creative license! ?
The couple opted for a very emotional first look and exchanged vows and personalized gifts in front of a spectacular view. Unfortunately, the rain poured down during their ceremony, but spirits were high with a private performance by South Africa’s famous’ Soweto Gospel Choir. Honestly, I can not remember one moment that Sophie was without a smile. And may I add that she looked gorgeous in her designer wedding gown?!
We did a few couple photos around the venue and even got a good old African scare when we thought we saw a wild lion! The reception area was set up on the deck overlooking the majestic KwaZulu natal grasslands. Décor and flowers were done by Adore Weddings in Durban and it looked amazing!! Guests were treated to traditional Zulu dancing and life performances while enjoying the luxury setting with a fine dining meal that was paired with Cape Winelands wine.
I can highly recommend a Nambiti Hills wedding with these incredible views, wild life, good food and great South African wine. Ami & Sophie, thank you so much for choosing me as your South African wedding photographer, it was such a privilege and so much fun to be part of your special day!
