Sean & Stacy reside in Johannesburg but decided on a Zimbali wedding in Durban, KwaZulu Natal. I flew up the day before their weekend wedding and to no one’s surprise, it was raining. It didn’t dampen anybody’s enthusiasm and the weekend wedding started with a pre-wedding dinner with family and friends from all over the world.
Stacy’s father suddenly passed away a week before the wedding and her uncle surprised her and the entire family by flying all the way from Australia to stand in for her father. It was a very emotional family reunion. The wedding day preparations started with the groom and his following enjoying some hot towel shaves after which he got a very special surprise gift from his bride-to-be.
Stacy looked amazing in her designer dress and pristine make up. She was the ever-radiant bride and Sean could not hold back his tears as she walked down the aisle. The ceremony was filled with jokes and laughter, as was the rest of the wedding day. I had such a great time laughing at their antics on the beach during their portrait session. Just joy, fun and so much love.
The reception followed with some heartfelt speeches and a romantic first dance. The guests enjoyed some live music followed by a pumping dance floor.
Sean & Stacy’s had a fun filled and a sincerely emotional Zimbali wedding in this beautiful part of the KwaZulu Natal.
