Somerset Gift Farm Wedding
This was my first Somerset Gift Farm wedding in Swellendam. And what a venue this is! WOW!! Absolutely, a ‘hidden gem’!
Intimate Somerset Gift Farm Wedding
While Floris is from Europe and Michelle is from South Africa, they met in the middle. In the current hub, Dubai. Along with current trends, they opted to only invite their closest friends and family. Without a doubt, their wedding was one of my favourite farm weddings. In spite of the rain on their wedding day, the couple’s spirit was never dampened. With this in mind, they still had their lovely wedding ceremony under the majestic mature pine trees. Admittedly, the sound of the wind through the trees as the clouds of mist set in around them was surreal. Obviously, nobody complained about the rain as the couple said their sweet and emotional vows.
South African Elopement Wedding
Michelle planned this wedding with the help of Antoinette Events, to a tee and there were so many beautiful and unique aspects. Indeed, her dress was amazing, I loved the indigenous flowers and loved the bright bold colours. Especially, I loved their wedding car! Unlike the traditional car, the couple had a tractor with a cart – all made up with ‘just married’. In order to make the most of this stunning setting, we took gorgeous images in the fields with the beautiful mountains in the background. Consequently, the misty weather created a stunning atmosphere and the bubbly personality of the couple kept things light.
The wedding reception
The guests were treated to a tasty South African menu and locally produced wines. Some heartfelt speeches followed with a night of dancing. Floris & Michelle thank you for selecting me for your Somerset Gift Farm Wedding. Never will I forget the beautiful surreal feeling of this wedding.
In general, such a stunning wedding with so much love and joy!
